10 ways you can put the fashion industry right

  1. Buy second-hand. Support your local charity shop, buy through sharing portals like Gumtree and Craigs List. (eg charity shops)
  2. Buy from ethical suppliers. Ethical Consumer ranks Patagonia  top in High Street suppliers, whereas Amazon and Asda score zero  1) 
  3. Recycle your clothing. Keep clothes out of landfill. Someone somewhere needs what you no longer have a use for
  4. Mend your clothes, or join a repair cafe (
  5. Upcycle – turn used fashion into better fashion (
  6. Buy better, keep longer. Say no to wasteful ‘fast fashion’.

  8. Lease your clothes instead of buying them (
